PR In The Time Of COVID-19

During this time of uncertainty, communications firms and other businesses are responsible for acting with compassion and leadership. There are several ways that your company can continue to stay relevant, and yet act with care and concern for clients.

Work From Home

Working from home is not just about keeping others safe and the virus at bay. It is also a way to stay relevant to your client base. Make your struggles known and be transparent. Post about the tips you have for staying productive or what is keeping you from going stir-crazy. This will allow your company to post content and help those who are struggling as well.

Stay Active on Social Media

Social media is one of the best ways to communicate now. In fact, it’s necessary. Hold virtual live streams. Try to post in your feed or on your story at least once a day. This will keep the communication barrier that seems so prevalent now open. Again, it is all about staying relevant to your audience and giving them the opportunity to reach out to you with any questions or concerns.

Serve Your Community

Contributing to your community in some way can create a great look for your brand. It does not need to be huge. Try contributing to coronavirus relief funds. Reach out to those you know who are struggling. Bring toilet paper to a neighbor or help someone get groceries. There are so many great ways to help your community at this time and keep your company looking positive.

Keep Communications Frequent

Communicate with your clients at least once a day through social media. This is one of the best ways to update your audience with information and company updates. Consider sending an email from your CEO about the process that your company is enacting to stay safe.

This is a difficult time for many. Health struggles and economic issues have occurred in only a few months. View this period as a good time to interact with your clients in a new way. Prove you are more than just a company catering to your publics. Be a resource for your client base to turn to by reacting with compassion and professionalism. This will allow your brand to remain strong now and after this period of time.
